Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
2017
Clear and brilliant, the color is ruby red, black cherry fringe. First nose on the restraint, nutty tip. At the opening, revelation of forest fruits, pronounced rose petal, brambles. Nose more enveloping than the 2016, less freshness, more in depth. Light woody. The palate is velvety, sensation of nectar, sweetness. Richness pronounced on a crenellated and chalky frame. Big potential.

2017 : The unloved! It comes after 2 very nice vintages made by the great majority of the Bordeaux vineyards. 2017 suffered an episode of frost in the spring which will affect the entire Bordeaux vineyard, but at various scales of intensity; which will make a great heterogeneity and sometimes even within a property. And yet we consider 2017 to be our benchmark vintage. Perhaps less affected by this devastating climatic hazard and also because we have taken care to remove the grapes from base-buds; All the ingredients that we are looking for to develop our wines are included: Sanitary condition and perfect maturity of the grapes, which have very good substance while preserving the acidity necessary for a good balance. In the end, the 2017 is a bottle of pure pleasure!
