Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
2013
Bright color, of good intensity, dark cherry red. The first nose expresses itself on fresh woody notes, vanilla, cocoa bean, then opens with agitation on red fruits, wild strawberry. The ripe strawberry aspects are more and more noticeable as the air is taken in, underlined by notes of fresh spices. The palate is supple and full, tasty with polished tannins. Wine signed by a mastered elegance, which takes all its measure in a complicated vintage for the appellation.

2013 is by far the most complicated vintage of the turn of the century. Rain, rain and rain; this is the summary of a trying season. The challenge was to bring the ripened grapes in a correct state of health. We have favored health status over perfect maturity. This ultimately gives this wine a lightness, freshness and very pleasant fruitiness for the palate. It is of particular interest as an aperitif or with dishes with a not too strong taste.
